The New Ride

As of today, we are officially mini-van owners :) Ahh... kinda crazy! We're excited, though, and think it will be a great fit for our family.

Lazy Summer Afternoons

Who knew this activity could provide so much entertainment?!?

3 Chubs in a Tub

This last weekend we got to see Andy's brother and his family! They're on their trek to NYC, and stopped in here for a couple of days.

While they were here, we learned that water, toys, and three boys makes for a fun, wet bathroom :)

That awesome lakefront parks with awesome views can be found by accident (way to go, And!) --This is Madison, WI... such a beautiful city!--

And that cousins can become instant buddies :)

Thanks for the great weekend, guys-- hopefully we can get together again soon!

Family and the 4th

We've had so much fun having family visit the last couple of weeks. First, my parents came in. We headed to Nauvoo for a couple of days and then enjoyed working my dad to death with projects around the house. Gotta love handy dads! ;) ((THANKS DAD!!!))

Carthage, IL

Drew insisted on pushing the stroller around.... until we put Grant in it. About 10 seconds after this picture was taken, he said, "Take Baby Grant out, this is too heavy!" :)

Beautiful Nauvoo

Fireworks on the 4th... both boys loved them! (btw, if you ever want to see one of the greatest fireworks shows-- come visit us, and we'll take you to the Beloit, WI one :)
THANKS for the pool, Grandma and Grandpa!! D & G love it!!!

As always, the time together ends all too soon!!! When are you guys coming back?!?! We miss you!

Bring on the Water Slides

This past Thursday, we took a quick day trip up to Mount Olympus Water Park. As you can tell from the pics, the boys had a blast, and so did Andy and I. We love living close to the water park capitol of the world!!! :) They don't call these lazy rivers for nothin' :) Grant was a happy camper with all the water splashing around! Brother bonding time! New meaning to crash landing :)

Drew's Birthday List

Drew's birthday is not until January 28th, but he has just recently figured out that he can ask for things for that special day. If ever we say, "No, you can't have that" (whatever it may be), he will instantly say, "How about for my birthday?!?"

Well, he's 3-- is he really going to remember if I said he could have it for his birthday once January rolls around? I don't think so. (I'm hoping not anyway :)

Hence, my new generic answer to this question is, "Sure, you can have that for your birthday."

Here's a running list of his birthday wishes:

So, what do you think? A pretty reasonable list, eh? :)

Spaghettif-a-WHAT?!?!

Anyone heard of spaghettification? Seriously, it's a technical term! :)

Did you know that if you get close to a black hole, the pull of it is so strong that you'll actually be stretched out as it sucks you in?? I didn't know that until yesterday! It's officially called: spaghettification! Isn't that funny?! Here are some pictures to illustrate this concept:

Drew was laughing so hard looking at himself in these mirrors!

We love the fact that all the big, nice museums in Chicago have free days! We took advantage yesterday, and went to the Adler Planetarium. Andy took the day off to come along and we had a blast!!!

Drew experienced his first ever 3-D movie. Andy and I got nothing out of the educational film due the fact that we could not stop laughing as Drew constantly tried to grab all the planets and stars coming straight for his face! It was hilarious!

So, beware of spaghettification!! :) For some reason, that term just caught me so funny! I can't stop laughing...
