It is Time..

to Potty Train our son! I have been so nervous to get started, after hearing all the horror stories of potty training. But, we started the whole process yesterday, and things have gone so well so far!! He's doing great- with only one accident to date (the very first time, after that he's let me know if he has to go!) Yeah-- go Drew! I guess that car stickers and marshmallows have been better incentives/bribes (whatever you want to call them :) than I thought they'd be :) We'll see how the next few days go.... hopefully just a great as the first two!

Just had to show you our sweet boys... they both looked so handsome for church on Sunday!!!

Drew B

Today is Drew's 3rd Birthday! I can hardly believe it.... we've gone from this:

to this:

WAY TOO FAST!!!!

Get to know our sweet Drew just a little....

*He loves, loves, loves his daddy! Drew will copy/follow/imitate/love anything and everything dad does!

*He is a great big brother- always sweet and gentle with Grant
*He is a total tease- just like his daddy!!!

*He says the funniest things- we get a good laugh every day :) :)
this was said recently:
Mom: "Drew, do you want some hot chocolate?"
Drew: "Um... No, too hot! I want cold chocolate!"
*He says sweet things like, "Umm... SURE!" and "Of Course!" and "Hi Baby Grant, Hi BUDDY!"
*He is very independent, and likes to do things all by himself!

*He LOVES cars and trains... over the last few Christmases/Birthdays, we've acquired countless numbers of them! :)

*He is way into Backhoes, Dump Trucks, Bulldozers, Cement Trucks, etc.
*He loves to dance (most of the time on our bed) and turn the music up loud!

*He loves to go watch daddy play his "basket hoop" games
*He is such a cheese- always giving us his cheesiest smiles- especially for pictures.

Happy Birthday, Sweet Drew! We love you so much!!!

G-Baby

Our little Grant is 3 months old!!! Where does the time go?! Here are some facts about him and his first three months:

*He's up to about 16 or so pounds....our little chunker :)
*He is the happiest, most smiley baby I've ever met

*He has started sleeping through the night (Yeah for mom!)
*He loves his big brother. Anytime Drew is around, Grant is mezmerized by him and gives him the biggest smiles :)

*He is so incredibly easy going (which is great for us- Drew keeps us on our toes :)
*He's a cuddler (another yeah for mom and his grandmas!) here he is cuddling with my mom

*He's discovered his hands- last night he sat and watched his own arm and hand move for about 5 minutes!
*He looks like the cutest little pea in a pod when we bundle him all up before going outside. All those layers are necessary when our high temps have been below zero

And I keep saying that Drew and Grant look different from one another... then I eat my words when I come across such similar pictures as these:

Us at Sand Key Beach.... Drew loved the beach!!

Enjoying a canoe ride in the swamp..... and yes.... alligators live in this water!!!

This crash and go car is one of Drew's favorite presents-- Thanks Aunt Whitney!!!

Big Weekend

So, my husband is awesome!!!! :) Both Chelsey and I got a big surprise on Friday afternoon when Andy came home from work early to let us know that we needed to pack our bags for Wisconsin Dells!!! We were so excited, and so was Drew, who has been asking to go on the "wee-waters" -- translation: water slides -- for at least a week now.

Although Drew was so excited about the waterslides, when it actually came down to going on one, he chickened out :) Most of the time he was content to crawl around in the little kid area like this.

This is how Grant happily spent most of the trip :) What a happy baby he is!!

Andy & Drew. This resort we went to (The Wilderness Resort) was awesome! It feels weird to be in a swimming suit doing the waterslide thing when you look out the windows to see snow and 17 degree weather :)
The real reason for the trip was for Chelsey's 19th birthday (which was on Sunday). Happy birthday to Chelsey!!! (who is Andy's sister for those of you who are wondering :) We've loved having her live with us for a little while. She is such a happy, helpful, fun, cheerful girl-- can't get enough of her!!! Thanks for all you do to help out, Chel!

Grant and the birthday girl

Last but definitely not least was Grant's blessing at church yesterday. What a special blessing it was! I feel so blessed to have these sweet, adorable, precious little boys in my family, as well as having a husband who is worthy to bless our children so. Andy is such a great dad who loves his boys with all his heart!! Family is a gift from our Heavenly Father, for sure!!!!
