Getting there---

I am just a few short (though it feels like forever... ;) weeks away from having this little boy. I am so, so ready to be done-- and so, so excited to meet him and see him!!! Although the thought of three kids seems crazy, I'm mostly excited. I'm getting all the clothes and blankets washed today, and that alone will get me ready for a baby any day-- can't wait to have a little one again to hold! (since we all know my baby Grant is not so little anymore :) So, here's to the final few weeks-- may they fly by and {if I'm really lucky} may he come sooner than that!!!

I need to clean my fridge

But I don't have the heart.

Every time I go to throw away a picture, I see how cute Drew wrote his little name, or the adorable little details he put into his pictures, and I can't do it.... Maybe it'll be easier now that I have a picture of these sweet little pictures :)

He Never feels unloved....

Although, maybe it's little much sometimes:

Trying to get his jacket on and head out the door to work.... with a boy hanging on each leg :)

They clung to him all the way to the garage door, and I had to peel them away even then. So cute! These boys love their dad-- and who wouldn't?? He's the best dad ever who plays with them, teaches them, and loves them unconditionally-- WE LOVE ANDY!!!!

Cute Boys

The other night they insisted on being in the same bed as we read scriptures... made me smile :) It wasn't long, though, before Drew started pushing Grant out....

Grant Says...

Mostly for grandparents to hear -- I ask him to say this word a lot just because I think he says it so darn cute! Of course, I'm not biased or anything.... :)

By way of translation: he's asking to watch the movie "Pocahontas"

Drew Says...

Dinner time is sometimes {okay, a lot of times :) } interesting at our home-- seeing how many bites of food we can get our boys to eat is always a trick :) Andy's so good at the whole reverse psychology thing-- Drew falls for it pretty consistently ("Drew, don't eat those vegetables so I can be stronger than you when we wrestle!")

Well, tonight Andy was off helping Grant with something, so it was just me and Drew at the table. Drew wanted to be done (after only about 2 bites of food), and I said, "No, you need to eat your peas and chicken all gone, and then three bites of your rice if you want any family night treat" (that'll get him I thought)

To which Drew replies, "Man! You're one weird woman!"

Makes me laugh!!!

Things that bring a SMILE to my face lately--

These boys of mine sometimes make me crazy, but most of the time, they just make me SMILE :)

Grant is completely obsessed with Thomas the Train and Lightning McQueen. Neither of these obsessions are new, they just seem to be getting stronger as he gets older. This Thomas shirt is on my little Grant's body about 95% of the time. It's a sad, sad day (for him :) when I have to peel it off to wash it. He wouldn't even hold still long enough for me to get a picture because he wanted to see the picture of his Thomas shirt (that I hadn't taken yet :)
In fact, a couple of Sundays ago, I couldn't get it off of him before church. No problem, I just put his nice Sunday shirt and tie over the Thomas shirt. Fast forward three hours.... I go to pick him up from nursery and all the leaders say, "He was not himself today. He kept crying, rubbing his tummy, and pulling at his shirt- has he had a stomach ache?" Oh, no no. I assured them he was fine. I unbuttoned his church shirt, reavealing the hidden Thomas one, and voila-- one perfectly happy child. He makes me laugh!! :)
Drew recently had this awesome idea of pulling Grant around in the laundry basket with a rope. He put gloves on his hands, so they wouldn't get sore, and went to town.... or at least around the couch a couple of times. Grant was a happy camper-- he brought some books in with him, and sat and looked at them while he got his ride. So funny-- especially considering the fact that these two weigh pretty much the same amount-- Drew had a lot of weight to pull :)

Thanks to our awesome bro & sis (Steve & Kirsten- this is for you :), we were introduced to the movie Music and Lyrics. Have you seen it? The movie is okay, but the first 5 minutes are HILARIOUS! We love it! The song from there has become a family favorite, and the boys listen & dance to it often. Drew & Grant know a lot of the words-- they love to sing out "POP! Goes my heart..." Too cute.

It's even cuter when I can sneakily catch Drew dancing to it as he's watching himself in the mirror. So, my bed is unmade and messy, and Grant is playing with {you guessed it} Thomas right by the camera, but if you just focus on cute little Drew -- his moves and facial expressions -- I promise, a smile will come to your face :) :)
