O Christmas Train, O Christmas Train....

In the mind of Drew, trains are IT. I mean, this boy loves trains! So, when a sweet elderly lady in our ward called yesterday to tell me that she wanted my boys to have her late husband's Christmas Train, I graciously accepted.

We went straight home from picking it up, tried to set it up around the Christmas Tree (it's too big for the small space we have there) , and eventually got it all set up in Drew's room. Boy, is he excited!

Grant loves it just as much, but doesn't quite have the self restraint to not continually pull it off the tracks. Drew is so sweet with him, and gently puts his arm around him as they watch it go round and round (whether it's done out of love or restraint, I'm still not sure-- I honestly think it's a little of both :)

Man, I love these kids!!

{Grant is laughing}

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

There's nothing like a good snowstorm to really get you in the mood for the holidays. That's exactly what we've had the last two days, and I love it!

I love looking out my window to snow covered trees-- so beautiful!

This morning Andy was out shoveling the 8 + inches off of our driveway, so we all decided to go out and join him.

This is the first time Grant has experienced snow, and I think he really loves it.

(Even when his brother packs snow all around him in his sled)

Drew had a blast, no matter how long it took him to get up after he'd fall (due to the many layers in an effort to keep him warm :)

And, the first Bham Family Snowman of the '09-'10 winter (mohawk and all :)

Drew, you have the floor

Sunday after Thanksgiving, we were sitting around our kitchen table enjoying dinner (And, Whit, Me, and the boys).

Whitney, Andy and I were having a nice conversation about our church meetings that day. What was taught, how we felt, the things we learned, etc.

About 10 minutes into our conversation, Drew blurts out, "STOP TALKING! I want to talk you something!" (I love how he still says the wrong words sometimes :)

"Okay, Drew, what do you want to say?"

"Ummm.... I shake my booty all day long!"

Honestly, whose child is this?!?

I still claim him {as his father's :) }

Thanksgiving with Whit

My sister Whitney was able to come up here for Thanksgiving this year, and boy did we love it! It was too short, but we managed to squeeze a lot of good times in :)

-Yummy Thanksgiving dinner-- always easier to prepare with 4 hands instead of 2!

-Good times visiting with friends!

-Trip to our famous Apple Orchard around here-- the donuts and cider are the best! Not to mention all the delish samples :)

Driving the train at the apple orchard play ground

-We went and saw New Moon-- it was great! I liked it a lot more than the first movie.

-Lots of games played--- we love games, but it gets hard after a while to only have two people to play with, so we love having visitors and friends to play with!!

Overall, we had a great time! Come back again soon, Whit! We Love You!

they just don't listen

my kids.... keep getting bigger, no matter how much I tell them to slow down :)

Hiding in the 'cave' from the 'monsters'-- one of his favorite games :)

But I'm in love with each new stage, and am loving being the lucky girl they get to call mom :) I am so blessed!

My {super}Hero

Last night Drew, as has become very common around here, was proudly wearing his Batman jammies and cape.

All of a sudden he climbed onto the arm of the couch and declared, "I'm a super-hero! ...... That means I need to fly!"

Andy and I just had a little giggle and decided to see what he would do. He jumped and then landed on the ground.

Things started to fall into place for him, as he realized that he can't fly. (I think he honestly thought that if we was wearing his batman jammies, that he could.... until he actually tried) He became very upset, and tried over and over and over.

After no successes, he started crying to Andy that, "I'm a super-hero so I need to fly, but I can't fly."

Talk about a sad day for a 3 year old! Well, Andy proceeded to explain that when he was a little boy, he could fly in his dreams. Drew said, "Hmm... let's see about that", promptly laid on our bed and closed his eyes.

About 5 seconds later, he sat up and was sad all over again. "It didn't work!" It's alright, you're still my {super}hero!

Well, we finally convinced him that maybe he should go to bed and really fall asleep, which he did.... Sweet Dreams, Buddy!

Too Much Candy ! ! ! !

We had a great Halloween, and hope you all did too! We had a weekend full of Halloween fun and candy.... Thursday was the playgroup Halloween party, Friday was the ward Trunk or Treat, and Saturday was trick or treating in our neighborhood.... between the three, we've got enough candy to feel a whole army!

Drew loved dressing up as what he called a 'inja' a.k.a. Ninja :) He sure looked so cute, and loved his blue hair!

We dressed Grant up as a little sumo wrestler! It turned out pretty cute, I think :)

At the ward Trunk or Treat, I walked around to all the trunks with Drew, while Andy stayed at the van with Grant to pass out candy. I came back to Grant going to town on his first ever sucker.... Andy said, "He's been so good just sitting here, as long as he's got his sucker to suck on :)"
Yep, Grant's no dummy, he knows his sweets!

Drew walking around in the little parade at the Trunk or Treat

Cute Drew was so proud of himself at each door last night... he would run down the driveway saying, "I did it! I said trick or treat and thank you!" Good job, buddy, good job! He's already excited for next year! (and so are we :)

Hope you all had a happy and safe Halloween!
